Decadent Fig and Ricotta Toast

Figs are in season and I am officially obsessed with them!

Add a slice of sourdough, a bit of ricotta, a drizzle of honey and you have the perfect blend of autumnal decadence. Great for a lazy breakfast or lunch, these also make a delicious afternoon treat.

Ricotta, Fig and Honey Toasts

Decadent Fig and Ricotta Toast for Autumn

Time: 5 minutes

Serves: 1/2 people


  • 2 slices of sourdough toasted

  • 1 tablespoon ricotta per toast

  • 1 fig sliced

  • 1 teaspoon of honey

  • 1 teaspoon of olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

  • lemon zest

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • mint leaves

Putting it all together

Get all your ingredients ready. Toast the sourdough.

  • Spread the ricotta on the toasts and place the fig slices on top of these.

  • Combine the honey, olive oil and lemon. Adjust honey and lemon to your taste. Drizzle over the toasts

  • Sprinkle the lemon zest over the toasts. Do the same the salt and pepper.

  • Add a few mint leaves.

  • That’s it . Decadent toasts ready for eating. Enjoy!

Serve with coffee in the morning, or a chilled white wine later in the day!
