Decadent Fig and Ricotta Toast
Figs are in season and I am officially obsessed with them!
Add a slice of sourdough, a bit of ricotta, a drizzle of honey and you have the perfect blend of autumnal decadence. Great for a lazy breakfast or lunch, these also make a delicious afternoon treat.
Ricotta, Fig and Honey Toasts
Time: 5 minutes
Serves: 1/2 people
2 slices of sourdough toasted
1 tablespoon ricotta per toast
1 fig sliced
1 teaspoon of honey
1 teaspoon of olive oil
1 teaspoon lemon juice
salt and pepper to taste
Putting it all together
Get all your ingredients ready. Toast the sourdough.
Spread the ricotta on the toasts and place the fig slices on top of these.
Combine the honey, olive oil and lemon. Adjust honey and lemon to your taste. Drizzle over the toasts
Sprinkle the lemon zest over the toasts. Do the same the salt and pepper.
Add a few mint leaves.
That’s it . Decadent toasts ready for eating. Enjoy!
Serve with coffee in the morning, or a chilled white wine later in the day!
